Which pass actually pays off around Interlaken
A Swiss Travel Pass (adult 2nd class: 3 days CHF 254, 4 days CHF 309) makes the BLS boats free and includes the Swiss Museum Pass, so Ballenberg (CHF 32) is free, but the boat day ticket (CHF 83) plus Ballenberg is only CHF 115 at full price. The Jungfrau Travel Pass (3 days CHF 210) and the Berner Oberland Pass (3 days CHF 240) pay off only if you ride several lifts and boats in those days, and the Jungfraujoch itself is not included in the Jungfrau Travel Pass. Count the tickets you will really use before buying.

Most of these sights are seasonal
In 2026 Ballenberg is open 9 April to 1 November, the St. Beatus Caves run a summer season from 28 March to 8 November (winter hours start 21 November), and the Trümmelbach Falls open from early April to early November. Check the dates before building a late-autumn or winter itinerary around them.

Where booking online saves money
Ballenberg sells online tickets at 10% below the gate price and skips the ticket-office queue. The Harder Kulm funicular uses dynamic pricing (from CHF 19 or 22 on the operator's pages), so a fixed price you read elsewhere may not match what you pay. Trümmelbach Falls lists one flat adult price with no group rates, and the St. Beatus Caves offer no AHV/IV discount.

BLS Lake Thun and Lake Brienz Cruises

Official 2nd-class day ticket for both lakes is CHF 83 (1st class CHF 125; Lake Brienz only CHF 75; Half-Fare CHF 41.50; kids day ticket CHF 15). The Swiss Travel Pass, GA, Eurail/Interrail (dated) and Berner Oberland Pass cover the boats for free in the class purchased, and seats are free seating with no reservations. Harder Kulm Funicular

The operator (Jungfrau Railways) shows a dynamic from-price of CHF 19 on the Harder Kulm page and CHF 22 on its price overview, so the fare you pay depends on date and ticket; a lunch combo starts at CHF 39. The Jungfrau Travel Pass covers it, and the Swiss Travel Pass and Berner Oberland Pass give 50% off per the pass partner listings (not restated on the operator page); the full undiscounted return fare was not primary-verified.

Trümmelbach Falls

Adult entry (children 6–15 CHF 8; no group prices). Open daily from early April to early November, 9:00–17:00 (8:30–18:00 in July and August); children under 4 and dogs are not admitted. The official page is old static HTML and a second 2026 source agrees on CHF 18; it lists no Swiss Travel Pass discount.

St. Beatus Caves

Adult ticket for the caves plus museum with audio guide (children 6–16 CHF 12, family card CHF 52, museum only CHF 6); there is no AHV/IV discount. Summer season 28 March–8 November 2026: caves open 9:00–18:00 (Fri and Sat until 21:00), last entry 45 minutes before closing, then a winter season from 21 November. Price read on the official site.

Ballenberg Swiss Open-Air Museum

Regular one-day adult ticket (children 6–16 CHF 16, family CHF 72, students and AHV/IV CHF 29); buying online saves 10% and skips the queue. Swiss Museum Pass holders enter free, and every Swiss Travel Pass includes the Swiss Museum Pass; the Berner Oberland Pass gives 25% off single tickets. Jungfrau Travel Pass

Covers Harder Kulm, First, Schynige Platte, Mürren/Winteregg and Kleine Scheidegg; Jungfraujoch is not included and needs a connecting ticket (from CHF 89 between 1 May and 31 October 2026). Berner Oberland Pass

2nd-class adult prices valid to 31 December 2026: 3 days CHF 240, 4 days 280, 6 days 350, 8 days 395, 10 days 435; Swiss Travel Pass, Half Fare and GA holders pay the reduced rate (CHF 168 for 3 days), and children pay CHF 30.
