Worth the premium here specifically: the valleys and mountainsides around Jungfraujoch, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen have the patchiest coverage on Sunrise and Salt of anywhere in the tourist circuit, while Swisscom stays strong even up at the Jungfraujoch summit. Passport required to register.

Cheaper than Swisscom and fine within the town of Interlaken itself, but coverage becomes noticeably patchier once you head up any of the surrounding valleys toward Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen or the mountain railways.

The cheapest of the three nationwide networks, but the weakest mountain coverage of the three, which matters a great deal in a region defined by valleys and 3,000-metre peaks. A reasonable choice only if the trip stays firmly in the town centre.

The same strong Swisscom coverage as a digital SIM, best activated before arriving since many visitors are only in the Interlaken area for a day or two en route to Jungfraujoch and don't want to spend time finding a shop. Passport details still required during setup.
