Transit card guide
Seoul's rechargeable transit card is T-money, sold and reloaded at any CU, GS25, or 7-Eleven as well as machines inside every subway station, and it's the same card used to get around Busan and most other Korean cities, so one purchase covers the whole trip. Seoul does sell short-term unlimited Climate Card passes for tourists, but unless you're taking an unusually high number of rides per day, paying per trip with T-money usually works out cheaper, since transfers between subway and bus already come discounted or free within a short window. That transfer discount is also where visitors slip up most: it only applies if you tap the card again when you get off, and skipping that tap-out — easy to do on a bus, which has no exit gate — makes the system charge the maximum possible fare instead.
