Dynamic pricing, and the gate ticket booths are gone
The 1-Day Studio Pass is no longer a flat price — 2026 adult pricing runs roughly ¥8,400-8,900 on low-season weekdays up to ¥10,900-11,900 on peak dates (Golden Week, year-end). USJ permanently closed its park-entrance ticket booths in 2025, so tickets must now be bought in advance online through the official Web Ticket Store, with entry by QR code only.

Express Pass works differently from Tokyo Disney's Premier Access
Unlike Tokyo Disney's Premier Access — bought same-day, per-ride, inside the park app — USJ's Universal Express Pass is sold in advance (going on sale roughly 60 days ahead), covers a fixed bundle of named attractions/show times chosen at purchase, and has strictly limited daily quantities that sell out, sometimes weeks ahead for a popular attraction.

Multiple tiers, and pricing swings widely
USJ sells several Express Pass tiers — commonly branded 4, 7, 8, and Premium — where the number is roughly how many attractions/experiences are included. Secondary trackers (cross-checked across two independent sources) put entry-level tiers around ¥10,000-26,000 and Premium/unlimited tiers as high as ¥40,000-99,000 depending on date and whether Super Nintendo World/Harry Potter access is bundled in. Re-verify the exact current tiers on usj.co.jp before you book.

Tickets are non-transferable, and resale gets nullified
USJ's official policy states reselling tickets is strictly prohibited: QR codes on tickets bought from resale sites, auction sites, or social media are invalidated on detection, entry is refused, and USJ offers no refund or compensation to the third-party buyer. Repeat resellers can be reported to police under prefectural anti-nuisance ordinances.

Klook and KKday are legitimate authorized resellers
Klook markets itself as an official/tier-one USJ ticketing partner with inventory that syncs to the official release schedule, and both Klook and KKday sell Studio Pass and Express Pass products with QR-code e-tickets, distinct from anonymous peer-to-peer resale. No evidence was found that Viator holds equivalent official USJ ticket inventory.
