Madrid Attraction & Museum Ticket Prices

The main sights and museums in Madrid: official ticket prices and booking sites, plus what to know before you book.

Booking tips before you go

Free windows at the big three, and the art card if you pay

Prado: permanent collection free Mon–Sat 18:00–20:00 and Sun/holidays 17:00–19:00. Reina Sofía: free Mon and Wed–Sat 19:00–21:00 and Sun 12:30–14:30 (closed Tue). Thyssen: free Mondays 12:00–16:00, plus a listed Saturday 21:00–23:00 slot. If you would rather skip the queues, the Paseo del Arte card (€32.80) covers all three, against €41 for separate tickets.

Sources: museoreinasofia.es and museothyssen.org official pages (fetched 2026-09-19); Prado hours from Time Out España (Mar 2026) and the Prado's own search listing, since prado.es returned 403.

The Royal Palace free hours are not for most visitors

The Royal Palace's free Monday–Thursday window (17:00–19:00 April–September, 16:00–18:00 from October) is limited to EU and Ibero-American citizens showing ID, walk-up only, so most Asian travelers pay the €18 fee. If you want cheap culture on a budget, the Cerralbo Museum (€3, free Thursday 17:00–19:00 and Sundays) and the National Archaeological Museum (€3, free Saturday from 14:00 and Sundays) are official low-cost options.

Two 2026 closures, and stick to official domains

The Sorolla Museum is closed for renovation, with reopening of its expanded galleries announced for October 2026 but no exact date, and the Retiro's Crystal Palace is closed for restoration until 2027, so both are left out of this list. Search results for Madrid museum tickets are also crowded with look-alike sites on non-official domains; the museums sell on entradas.museodelprado.es, entradas.museoreinasofia.es, museothyssen.org and tickets.patrimonionacional.es.

Sources: La Maleta Inquieta (updated 2026-09-15) for Sorolla; Tourism Madrid (esmadrid.com) and eldiario.es / Time Out España for the Crystal Palace. Sorolla's reopening date is a press report, not an official confirmation.

Ticket Prices by Attraction & Museum

Prices come from each attraction's official booking site where it could be read; otherwise they are cross-checked against independent 2026 sources, and each item's note says which. Re-check the official site for the current price before booking.
