A nearly 1,500-year-old Byzantine cathedral turned mosque turned museum turned mosque again — its vast dome and gold mosaics make it one of the world's most important religious buildings. Since 2020 it functions as an active mosque; tourists access the upper gallery.

Officially priced at €25 for foreign visitors (payable in EUR or TRY; TRY figure will drift with the exchange rate) — covers the upper gallery only. The main prayer hall is free but open only between prayer times; dress modestly (covered shoulders/knees, headscarf for women).

Istanbul's iconic 17th-century imperial mosque, named for the tens of thousands of blue İznik tiles lining its interior. It remains a fully active place of worship directly across from Hagia Sophia.

A cavernous 6th-century Byzantine underground reservoir, its ceiling held up by 336 columns (including two carved with Medusa heads), moodily lit and echoing with ambient music — one of the most atmospheric sights in the old city.

Sources vary between ~₺1,950 and ₺2,145 for the foreign-visitor rate (domestic Turkish rate is much lower, ~₺495) — confirm at time of integration. A separate evening concert session (19:30–22:00) costs ~₺3,000. Istanbul Museum Pass is NOT valid here.
