Planning your visit

Singapore doesn't really have a season to avoid outright, but the Northeast Monsoon from November to January brings its heaviest and most frequent rain, so it's the stretch most worth building weather buffers around. Timed-entry online booking has genuinely become the norm for the city's big paid attractions — the Gardens by the Bay conservatories, the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, the Zoo and Night Safari, Universal Studios — especially on weekends and during school holidays, when walking up without a ticket already in hand risks a long wait or a sold-out slot. The Marina Bay cluster of sights is compact and walkable, but the Zoo and Night Safari up north and Sentosa's attractions across the strait are each their own separate trip by MRT or the Sentosa Express. Given how quickly individual admission fees add up here, a multi-attraction pass is one of the few in this list actually worth pricing out before you go.

Gardens by the Bay

A 101-hectare waterfront nature park anchored by two cooled conservatories — the flower-filled Flower Dome and misty, mountain-themed Cloud Forest — and the futuristic Supertree Grove, which lights up nightly.

S$46 covers both the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest conservatories for a non-resident adult. The OCBC Skyway suspended walkway among the Supertrees is a separate S$14 ticket. The outdoor Supertree Grove and gardens themselves are free to walk through.

National Gallery Singapore
