Transit card guide

Busan runs on the same nationwide card system as Seoul, so a T-money or Cashbee card bought anywhere in Korea works interchangeably across Busan's metro, buses, and light rail, and either one can be picked up or reloaded at convenience stores like GS25 and CU or at machines inside metro stations. There isn't really a dedicated unlimited-ride transit pass for everyday sightseeing here — the Visit Busan Pass and the hop-on-hop-off City Tour Bus are built around bundling paid attractions, not covering ordinary fares — so most visitors do best just topping up a card and paying per ride. The same tap-out rule as Seoul applies: forgetting to tap when you get off a bus, where nothing physically stops you from walking away, is the easiest way to lose the automatic transfer discount and get overcharged.
