Booking tips before you go
Chorus Pass pays off from the fifth church, and the Frari is not on it
Single Chorus churches cost €3.50 each and the full pass is €15, so four churches (€14) still cost less separately but a fifth (€17.50) tips it in the pass's favour. Many guides list the Frari as a Chorus church, but it is absent from Chorus's own church list and its official ticket page says it does not take part in the Chorus Pass, so budget its entry separately.

The access fee is off right now, but check before spring 2027
The 2026 trial ended on July 26 and the gates and ticket desks were taken down, so a September visit costs nothing extra. No 2027 calendar had been published as of September 2026, and the city has said the number of days could exceed 60, so register on cda.ve.it before any spring or summer day trip.

Museum Pass math, and what is closed
The Doge's Palace (€35) plus Ca' Rezzonico (€15) already equal the €50 Museum Pass at full price, so a third civic museum such as Murano Glass (€15) makes the 6-month pass pay off and skips reservations. Ca' d'Oro is a state museum outside that pass and has been closed since Jan 6, 2026 for restoration, with reopening announced for spring 2027, so leave it off a 2026 itinerary.

St Mark's Square Museums Ticket (Doge's Palace + 3 museums)

Not being charged now: the 2026 season ran 60 days from Apr 3 to Jul 26, 08:30-16:00, historic centre only. €5 if registered 4+ days ahead, €10 later; under 14s and overnight guests pay nothing (guests still register); fines run €25-150 plus the fee. No 2027 calendar published as of Sept 2026, and the city said it could exceed 60 days.
