Denpasar and the rest of Bali simply don't have a metro or subway — the closest thing, a limited bus network called Trans Metro Dewata, is aimed at commuters and barely registers with visitors. Almost every tourist instead gets around using the ride-hailing apps Grab and Gojek, which show a fixed price upfront and offer both car and motorbike-taxi rides across the tourist areas. Renting a scooter is the other common choice if you want full flexibility and are comfortable with local traffic, while hiring a private driver for the day tends to be the practical answer for longer trips between regions like Ubud, Seminyak, and Uluwatu.
