Booking tips before you go
When the Zürich Card beats single tickets
The 24-hour card costs CHF 29 (72 hours CHF 56) and includes public transport, boats and the Uetliberg railway plus free entry to many museums. Two museum visits such as the FIFA Museum (CHF 26) and the Swiss National Museum (CHF 13) already add up to CHF 39 before transport. Prices go up for start dates from 13 December 2026, Kunsthaus exhibitions are not covered (CHF 7 extra at the desk), and the Zoo Zürich ticket page does not mention the card.

Free Wednesdays and Swiss Travel Pass coverage
The Kunsthaus collection (normally CHF 24 with small exhibitions) is free for everyone on Wednesdays. A Swiss Travel Pass includes the Swiss Museum Pass, which the Swiss National Museum lists for free entry, and the FIFA Museum names the Swiss Travel Pass directly. ZSG lake boats and the Zürich transport network are also valid on a Swiss Travel Pass, so the CHF 7.20 mini cruise costs nothing extra.

Book ahead, and expect tower limits
The Lindt Home of Chocolate asks visitors to book online in advance because same-day slots often sell out, and Zoo Zürich online tickets are valid only for the date you choose. Zoo prices rose from 1 April 2026, so older guides are low. At the Grossmünster, repair works run from 2025 to 2029 and the outdoor terraces are closed, so the view is through the tower windows.

Prices come from each attraction's official booking site where it could be read; otherwise they are cross-checked against independent 2026 sources, and each item's note says which. Re-check the official site for the current price before booking.
Kunsthaus Zürich

Adult ticket for the collection plus small exhibitions; a major special exhibition ticket is CHF 31. The permanent collection is free for everyone on Wednesdays, and Zürich Card holders get free collection entry (exhibitions CHF 7 extra). Price read on the official site.

Grossmünster Tower (Karlsturm)

About 187 steps and no lift; repair works run from 2025 to 2029 and the outdoor terraces are closed, so you see the view through the tower windows. Lake Zurich Cruise (ZSG)

2nd-class adult fares on the official 2026 tariff: Mini cruise (1 h) CHF 7.20, Short cruise (1.5 h) CHF 9.40, Long cruise (4.5 h) CHF 28 (1st class CHF 46.20). These are ZVV zone tickets, so ZVV tickets, the Zürich Card and the GA travelcard are valid on the boats, and a Switzerland Tourism listing shows the Swiss Travel Pass as valid too.

Uetliberg (Zürich's local mountain)
S10 train from Zürich HB, about 20 minutes
The train ride is the only cost: a normal ZVV fare on the S10 (Zürich HB to the 870 m summit station), covered by the Zürich Card and Swiss Travel Pass. A rail-plus-ticket offer at Switzerland Tourism shows from CHF 18.80, but it does not say one-way or return, so no fare is shown as verified here.
